The UK Association of Online Publishers (AOP) will appoint Ruth Brownlee as director, replacing Alex White, who left to become a BBC Worldwide online launch director in September as we reported. Brownlee had previously been ad director at Handbag.com, commercial development controller at Channel 4 and agency sales head at Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO) UK and Ireland, but was most recently working as an advisor. AOP chairman Simon Waldman, in a release, said she will “take the association to the next level”. She starts in January.
