Israel-based MobiMate, a provider of travel services for PDAs and smartphones, has taken an unspecified investment from Motorola (NYSE: MOT) Ventures. Previous investors include ex-Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) CEO John Sculley, Michael Price of Evercore Partners, Michae Targoff of Loral and Richard Rosenblatt. Services provided bythe company include a mobile travel planning site and real-time travel data feed. It also offers a way to import and organize travel info from third-party sites. It plans to use the funding to step up R&D and to expand its market presence. Release.
