Regional news publisher Archant has it’s own take on providing ultralocal news – tag every article with local post code metadata so that new sites can be built to serve readers’ specific local interests. Unfortunately, a last-minute decision to switch content management system supplier has left the project as much as half a year late, the company tells Press Gazette. Development director Ian Davies said “new brands” will be developed with low implementation costs because they could each draw content from a central store.
