– Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO) has launched its mobile services in Latin America, saying that people in Argentina, Brazil and Mexico can download OneSearch software in Spanish or Portuguese from m.yahoo.com, reports Reuters. “You can see this as a precursor for our partners to deploy it on their side,” Marco Boerries, executive vice president of Yahoo’s Connected Life division.

— Swisscom has launched an Easy Transfer service which will let subscribers transfer mobile content such as contacts, ringtones, music, photos and video from their existing handset to their newly purchased one. This gives its customers more confidence in buying and creating mobile content, and Swisscom hopes the move will increase both ARPU and customer loyalty, reports Billing World.
