WIN Buys UGC Company Pop-i Media For Up To $7.25 Million

Mobile content and services company WIN has bought mobile user-generated content provider Pop-i Media for a nominal 5 pounds (US$10.35) up front and a deferred consideration of up to 3.5 million pounds (US$7.25 million) depending on Pop-i’s performance through ’til the end of 2008…it will also assume 125,000 pounds (US$258,900) in debt. Pop-i provides branded and white label services for people to upload images to websites, and has ITN and Sky as customers. It has provided services to ITN and Sky for competitions such as ITN TV Lookalike and Sky Text Me and MySports Moment. (release)
