Cable operator Charter (NSDQ: CHTR) Communications reported Q3 revenue of $1.52 billion, up 9 percent from last year’s $1.38 billion. Net losses on a continuing basis grew to $407 million from $333 million, although last year’s quarter was helped by a one-time gain. Income from continuing operations, which comes before the company’s massive quarterly debt payments, grew 62 percent to $107 million from $66 million. Some highlights:
— The company added 53,000 high speed internet customers during the quarter; revenue in this business grew 20 percent to $320 million.
— Voice revenue more than tripled to $94 million.
— Video revenue was stagnant, growing 1.1 percent to $845 million.
