Bottom line advice: don’t hold your breath waiting for these beasts to ship.

It does this by actually bending the hard drive in half. They also sell a variety of other industrial toys for wiping out data with strong magnets and physical mistreatment.

It Beats the Official Help – Caroline Middlebrook has written The Big Juicy Twitter Guide, covering everything from what Twitter is and why you should be using it to various tools to make it easier and more fun. If you’re getting tongue-tied trying to explain the attraction of Twitter to someone, just point them at this link instead.

Put Down the Keyboard and Move Away from the Computer – If your colleagues’ annoying email habits are making you contemplate justifiable homicide, check out Scott H. Young’s list of 7 Bad E-Mail Habits That Make People Want to Kill You. Of course, you wouldn’t be guilty of any of these yourself, would you? Fortunately, he includes remedial suggestions.

If Google Says It, It Must Be True – Buried in the OpenSocial API documentation, you’ll find this list of Social Design Best Practices. While they’re focused on building widgets to host in existing social networking sites, the advice given (things like “engage quickly” and “solve real world tasks”) is worth pondering by anyone seeking to get a new social web site up and running.
