We’ve chatted up GetMobio in the past; just this summer, the informational service showed up for RIM BlackBerrys, so now it’s time for Windows Mobile handsets to catch up. Good timing too, since WinMo owners can hop over to http://getmobio.com/nowwm for over fifty info-applets. You can check out local gas prices, find restaurants and even use Twitter with the free service. One question I have: with the mobile web search platforms getting better and better (think Google and Windows Live Mobile), is there still a need for custom info applications or can we just search the cloud directly? I know I’m using mobile-tailored sites directly much more often; how about you?
