Beyond its $6 billion acquisition of aQuantive, Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) spent $147 million on four small acquisitions during the quarter ending Sept. 30, according to the 10Q filed after market close Thursday. One was the acquisition of AdECN, an online ad exchange, announced in July. Another, the August acquisition of Parlano, the maker of enterprise chat software. The purchase of comparison shopping engine JellyFish.com was first made public the day after the quarter closed, though the language of the announcement on Microsoft’s Live Search blog suggests it was completed last quarter. As for the fourth, we’ve put in a call with the company and are waiting to confirm. The price tag of each acquisition was not been specified.
