Motricity has updated its eReader Pro software, essentially making it possible to download eBooks to a mobile device over-the-air, rather than having to download to a PC and then sync it across. The reader still has to be sideloaded from a PC, but Motricity is working on that too, reports PC World. The other change is the cost of the application, which has gone from $9.95 to free — which makes sense, if people buy books they don’t want to also have to pay for the right to read them. The eBooks cost about as much as a physical book, and is where Motricity plans to get revenue from the service.
