Online Video Site Tioti Gets Funding

Tape It Off The Internet (Tioti), a TV-centric web community where members post links to shows across a range of download and sharing media, has received an undisclosed amount of funding, though it is in millions, according to Techcrunch UK. The first round is led by Pond Venture Partners.

The site began testing in 2005 and had so far been funded privately and by some angels…it launched out of beta early this month. The site “pulls together information about TV shows from all over the web, connects that with download sources and filters the results through a social network while making recommendations”. Sounds like what TVGuide launched recently, Sidereel and tons of other such sites out there.
