B2B media group 1105 Media has acquired Federal Employees News Digest (FEND), the parent company of namesake Federal Employees News Digest, as well as Federal Employees Almanac, Federaldaily.com and Fedsoup.com. The publications and websites will become part of the 1105 Government Information Group, a unit consisting of the publications it acquired in last year’s purchase of Post Newsweek Tech Media from the Washington Post (NYSE: WPO) Company. Titles in the division include Government Computer News and Federal Computer Week, among others. 1105, formed only last year by PE firms Nautic Partners and Alta Communications, sees the deal helping it delve deeper into paid information services, while expanding beyond its core tech focus. FEND has been family owned since its founding in 1951. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Release.
