With the festive season just around the corner, Electronic Arts (NSDQ: ERTS) has announced the launch of a bunch of games in India – Need for Speed ProStreet, Army of Two, Crysis, and The Simpsons Game. Details of the games here. In an interview with GameGuru, Ajay Khanna, General Manager for Electronic Arts in India says that they’ve started mobile game development in Hyderabad over the past year. EA will be bringing the FIFA Interactive World Cup to India in January next year. The company currently has no plans for developing India-specific content, or for a cricket gaming tournament. India is among the countries being studied by EA for setting up a studio. EA is distributing games in India via Excel, Milestone and Redington.
