Oberon Media, the New York City-based online and mobile casual games provider backed by big money, acquired two companies this year: mobile gaming firm I-Play and PixelPlay, the interactive TV games producer. The prices were no disclosed when these acquisitions were announced. But PEHub found out more with two SEC filings the private company had to do with its own fund raise. The company spent a total of about $70 million in acquisitions…this included an $18 million common stock exchange (for PixelPlay), and $52.52 million in newly-raised junior preferred stock (for I-Play).
