Tacoda: Daniel Jaye, who joined the behavioral targeter in April as an EVP for product management and development, will succeed Curt Viebranz as CEO. Following AOL’s (NYSE: TWX) $275 million purchase last month, Viebranz was appointed EVP and president of the portal’s new Platform A division, which includes Tacoda. Prior to Tacoda, Jaye was founder, chairman and CTO of data-privacy firm Permissus.
Wall Street Journal: Michael Rooney, the chief revenue officer who moved to DJ’s Consumer Media Group from ESPN in May, is bringing in former ESPN colleague Chris Collins as VP-multimedia sales for the Journal. Collins, who joined ESPN in 1997, most recently was VP-multimedia sales for TV, magazine, online and managed the development of cross-platform sales across all ESPN. Before that, he was at Bloomberg Financial Markets. He’ll report to Rooney at DJ, effective Oct. 16. Release.
Turner Broadcasting: Turner vet Dennis Quinn is taking a break to travel. Quinn, who leaves as EVP-business development, joined Turner in 1992 and held a variety of exec positions. For now, his group is reporting to Coleman Breed, EVP, Sales & Marketing for Turner Network Sales.
Interpublic Group: Scott Wensman joins as director of media strategy and content for The Interpublic Emerging Media Lab, which is part of IPG’s media futures practice. He will primarily serve as the go-between for IPG
