ABC News: A rash of changes at ABC News, including the promotion of Dave Davis to the new post of EVP-ABC News from his current role as president and GM of ABC flagship WABC. At the same time, Paul Slavin moves to the new post of SVP-digital, reporting to ABC News president David Westin but with a dotted line to Albert Chang, EVP-digital media for the Disney (NYSE: DIS)/ABC Television Groups; he will oversee digital business development, marketing, and operations. Scripps (NYSE: SSP): Adam Symson has been promoted to the new post of VP-interactive, for the company’s Television Station Group. Symson, who’s been with Scripps since 2002, is charged with helping the company’s 10 TV stations generate online revenue, coming up with interactive sales strategies, and create online communities. Symson also will produce new web and wireless products across Scripps’ various online properties. Release

AccuWeather: Barry Lee Myers, AccuWeather’s EVP and general counsel, has been named CEO. In addition to the forecast data that it supplies to local news stations, AccuWeather also provides information to online, mobile, IPTV and print media outlets.
