PC Magazine is my favorite publication for their constant coverage of what’s new in the mobile technology space. I may not always agree with their reviews of mobile devices but that’s not unusual since those devices are very personal and a given reviewer either likes it or not. I do like how the magazine is always trying to have an affect in this sector and they are hosting an online Mobility Technology conference next Thursday that looks really cool. They are going to have all of their reviewers and editors participating along with a long list of mobile technology experts and vendors and since it’s online anyone can register and attend for free. It will run from 9 am – 6 pm so it’s an all day conference and I am going to make a concerted attempt to be attend as much as I can. All you need is a web browser so anyone can attend but you do need to register in advance to do so as space is limited. Check out the conference web site and see if there’s anything there that piques your interest. Here are the highlights they are pointing out:
- Informative presentations and panel discussions, including a keynote address from internationally recognized mobile technology analyst Gerry Purdy, and a special roundtablediscussion moderated by PC Magazine Editor-in-Chief Lance Ulanoff.
- Q & A with PC Magazine editors and industry experts
- Virtual vendor booths with white papers, demos, and live vendor assistance
- Networking opportunities with your peers
- Valuable prizes and digital coupons
