In France, France Telecom is setting up a joint venture with Thomson and Safran unit Sagem to develop wireless data transfer equipment to connect digital home devices, Les Echos reported, picked up by Thomson Financial. The new unit, to be called home network software applications (HNSA), would be held 60 percent by France Telecom and 20 percent each by the other two groups…the three plan to develop a new standard for data transfer between devices such as broadband modems, decoders and mobile phones in order to stream music, images and information, it said.
