Mobile software firm Peermeta, based in Acton, Mass., has announced a $6 million initial round of funding from Sigma Partners and Kepha Partners. The company, which was launched in January, says its software allows mobile devices better access to digital content and social networks. Chairman and founder Cheng Wu was formerly at Cisco (NSDQ: CSCO) as President of its Content and Multiservice Edge Group. Release.
