That’s the claim from iPXSync and it would be nice to see. The iPhone is adequate for e-mail, but the ability to sync contacts, appointments and tasks over the air with an Exchange server would be welcome. Apple could potentially license ActiveSync for this to happen, but until that happens, we’ll be syncing via USB cable or trying other third party services such as Synchronica’s.
There’s very little in the way of details from iPXSync on their expected service, but if you want to sign up for the free beta that’s planned next month, now’s your chance. After today’s Exchange migration, I think I’ll pass; it took me quite a while to get my iPhone working with the new server over IMAP. Besides, I’m wondering where iPXSync will put my Tasks on the iPhone; there’s no place that I know of for them and I really don’t need any more Tasks today anyway. Thanks for the heads up, mk!
