Round Up: TeenNick On Kajeet; NBA In China; Pre-Emmy On Sprint

— Youth-oriented MVNO Kajeet will be the exclusive mobile content support for Nickelodeon‘s “TEENick Back-to-School Bash”, which will include promotion on the show and website as well as offering contetn from each of the shows, and the ability to vote through their cell phones for their favorite stars of hit Nickelodeon series. — The NBA has launched a mobile portal in basketball-crazy China. Users will be able to watch streams of both selected NBA games in full and clips of NBA game highlights. Other features will include news, scores, game and player updates and player interviews; as well as related blogs, TV schedules, wallpaper and ringtones. NBA’s local partner for the service, KongZhong Corporation, says it will make money by charging fees for certain content and by selling advertising. No financial terms were disclosed. release

— E! simulcast its 2-hour pre-show Live from the Red Carpet: The 2007 Primetime Emmy Awards last night on Sprint TV and the web. E! also provided Sprint TV users with a “red carpet glam cam” that let viewers see the best and worst of Emmy fashion, reports Broadcast Newsroom. No viewing figures available as yet.

— The Automobile Club of Portugal is planning to launch a national MVNO, according to a report in Telecom Paper. The ACP has put in an application to the telecoms regulator Anacom and expects the service to be out by March 2008. A mobile partner has not been announced.

— Finnish telco Elisa has launched a Windows Live Messenger mobile service provided by Colibria which lets its 2.2 million customers subscribe to chat with friends and colleagues whether via mobile handset or PC.
