So you’ve got two Windows PCs but no network and you need to transfer files between the two. That’s where the Tornado comes in handy! Much like the USB cable I received with my original Samsung Q1 UMPC, the Tornado is a cable with USB ports on both ends. The cables are actually flat and wind up into a hurricane-shaped housing. Deep in the "eye" of the unit is a flash module with software that creates a temporary network between two PCs, allowing you to transfer files between the two.
The beauty of the 4.8-ounce Tornado is that it supports USB 2.0 transfers which should whip those files around in a fast frenzy. At $59.95, it might be a pricey solution to some, but for folks that find themselves needing to move files between PCs very often in a non-network situation, it’s well worth the price. I’ve used the similar solution that came with my UMPC many more times than the original, intended use and carry it in my gadget bag all the time.
