JupiterResearch has conducted some research in Europe which as found that while “digital natives”, that is 15-24 year-olds, are very tech-savvy, 37 percent of them aren’t keen on paying for mobile services other than voice and SMS… which of course means that almost two thirds of them aren’t particularly adverse to paying for mobile content and services. More promisingly, “nearly one-quarter of European 15-24s are “mobile entertainment aficionados” who use more than two new multimedia services such as live TV, music or games on their mobile phones” reports TechDigest. The research also found that 40 percent of the age group send at least 10 messages a day, leading JupiterResearch to suggest that the key to success in mobile content is to mix content and messaging.
