Need a high-capacity flash drive? How’s 461 GB grab you?

BitmicrossddriveWasn’t I just saying that a 32 GB SSD flash drive wouldn’t cut it for most folks and that 64 GB would be more usable? Apparently some folks just can’t get enough storage capacity. Why else would Bitmicro make a 2.5-inch flash drive capable of storing 461 GB of data? Place this one in the "you can’t touch it" category because I can’t find a price and won’t see the light of day until 2008. Besides, the drive is geared for military and industrial applications, not my everyday mobile computer use. Hey if you plan to keep that data forever, you’ll be happy to know the drive’s MTBF or "mean time between failures" is a hefty 1.9 million hours which is nearly 80,000 days or 216 years. Maybe Bitmicro should buy the "Lifedrive" name from Palm?
