Mobile video delivery company Vantrix, based in NYC and Montreal, has raised $12 million in its second round of funding. The round was led by JK&B Capital and joined by existing investors SummerHill Venture Partners (the venture arm of Bell Canada Enterprises), Entrepia Ventures, BDC Venture Capital, and Innovacom (the venture arm of France Telecom). Vantrix will use the funding to expand globally and invest in infrastructure and R&D.
Vantrix’s CEO Manish Jha was the head of the doomed MobileESPN MVNO which closed down last year…he joined Vantrix this year.
