Comverse has released its second quarter results for the three months ending July 31st. It reported a wider loss from operations for the quarter due to several special items. “The company posted a loss of $73.6 million from operations, compared with a loss of $24.7 million in the same period a year ago, according to preliminary results reported by the company…Excluding special items, income from operations was $32.2 million, compared with $40.7 million a year ago” reports Reuters.
Revenue at the Comverse Inc subsidiary, which includes the mobile content and platform offerings, was $288.2 million for the second quarter of 2007, an increase of 5 percent year-on-year and one percent compared to the first quarter this year.
