Apple sells 1 millionth iPhone

In just over 2 and half months (10 weeks and 4 days to be exact), Apple has sold its one millionth iPhone.

Appleā€™s goal was to sell 1 million iPhones by September and sure enough they hit their goal. Certainly the recent price drop helped push things a bit more in the past few days but only a few of those 74 days included the price drop.

An interesting fact here is that it took close to two years to sell the first million iPods.

Billy – You have raised some very good points. They are well reasoned. I wholeheartedly support your thesis that after all is considered that QT Pro should be either free or reduced in price.

Do you think the iPhone will ever cross over to any other carriers (like verizon) in the near future?

Yeah but you gotta remind people that in the beginning iPods only worked with Macs, and we didn’t have as many mac users then as we have now. Still, 1 million that fast is pretty impressive; and we haven’t even hit the holiday season yet.
