KDDI To Launch Behavioural Targeted Ads On Portal

Japanese operator KDDI has announced plans to launch a behavioural targeting system for ads on its au portal in late September, which will analyse people’s website logs and the frequency of visits to the au one portal. “The portal was developed by mediba and Digital Advertising Consortium (DAC). Based on audits of customers visiting specialised mobile websites on “au one,” such as car, games and music sites, mediba will provide behavioural targeting advertisements alongside news articles, search result pictures and other spots” reports GoMoNews. The system will start on the mobile portal, but KDDI has plans to integrate it with its PC portal.
