[qi:_webworkerdaily] It was on Labor Day 2006 when we launched Web Worker Daily, our second blog, focusing on digital bedouins and the changing nature of work. And just like that today we are celebrating WWD’s first birthday. WWD’s mantra “Rebooting The Workforce” seems to have resonated with the readers, who have offered their support and suggestions all through the year, helping us fine tuning the content almost on a weekly basis.
In the year that was, WWD has climbed up the Technorati rankings and hopefully will be a Top 100 blog by the time its second birthday comes around. In her post, WWD editor Judi Sohn notes, “in our inaugural year, we published 743 posts and over 10,000 comments. We have over 16,000 feed subscribers.” WWD team led first by Editor-at-large Anne Zelenka and now by Judi has worked hard in helping us get here. To them, I owe a big debt of gratitude. Great job gang!
We have big plans for the coming year. There is a design refresh coming, and Anne (with some help from Judi) are busy working on a WWD companion book that is going to be published by Wiley & Company. Meanwhile, if you aren’t a subscriber, here is a link to get the RSS feed for WebWorkerDaily.
While WWD folks are taking a well deserved break today, rest of the team has been tapping away. Here are some posts worth reading from across the network for today.
