A new mobile marketing campaign, for once not marketed specifically at spotty teenagers, comes our way from Office Depot. The office-supplies chain is making its web site WAP-enabled, giving users access to special product offers, sweepstakes and coupons (wap.go2OfficeDepot.com). The mobile service is being developed with mobile search company go2, and will feature a location-based element, pointing phone users to their nearest store. No mention of whether you will now be able to buy pens and legal pads en route to lunch, but presumably an m-commerce element is also in the works. Office Depot had sales of $15.4 billion last year and has stores in 43 countries. (release)
