Industry Moves: Citadel; Former Akimbo CEO; IAC; Discovery; Turner

– Citadel Broadcasting has appointed John Rossoto as SVP of interactive, and including ABC Radio Networks. In his new role, John will focus on expanding Citadel’s digital initiatives including Citadel’s current National platform of around 300 local and national websites and over 200 streaming stations.

— The former CEO of Akimbo Joshua Goldman has joined Norwest Venture Partners. He joins two recent additions to NVP, Sergio Monsalve (former VP of marketing at Photobucket and eBay GM), and Tim Chang (former principal at Gabriel Venture Partners and executive at Gateway).

— Discovery Communications has named John Honeycutt as executive VP and chief media technology officer and Myrna Renaud as the senior VP of international media operations. Prior to his appointment, Honeycutt had served as the executive VP of media technology and operations at Discovery.

— IAC, which is developing a site/service focused on Black community, has appointed Kevin McFall as VP of product. He moved from Tribune’s Zap2it group. The yet-to-be-named site is expected to launch in February 2008 and will feature topical content, relevant services and a platform for community interaction. The venture is headed by Johnny Taylor, and will be based in Charlotte, NC.
