Timbuk2 Hacker Bag overview: GearLog

Timbuk2_hacker_closedOne thing I look for in a gadget bag is multiple ways to carry it. No, I don’t mean: with my feet, on my head, etc… I look for bags that have different configurations so I can adjust the carrying based on the load and location. For example: if I’m in a crowded area like CES, I prefer a backpack configuration to keep my overall profile as small as possible. Out on the street where there’s more room, well, that’s great for a messenger bag.

GearLog just gave the Timbuk2 Hacker bag a carry
and I like what I see. It’s shaped like a backpack overall and can handle up to a 15.4-inch notebook as well as ton of other items with the many pockets and pouches. The backpack straps can easily be concealed so you can use the top handle or use the included messenger bag strap, providing more versatility for $120.
