Movie showtimes, news and ticketing site Hollywood Media (NSDQ: HOLL) has sold Source Business, a provider of movie and events showtimes information and data, to West World Media for $23 million in cash. West World Media is owned by Brett West, who founded Source in 1995 and sold the business to Boca Raton, Fl.-based Hollywood Media in 1999. After the sale, West served as president of Source Business, which included Hollywood Media’s CinemaSource, EventSource and ExhibitorAds operations.
As part of the deal between the two, Hollywood Media and West World have a multi-year data sharing agreement that calls for their respective companies to continue providing each other with data and a content. West World Media will share its movie showtimes and events data with Hollywood Media. In return, Hollywood Media’s will provide movie and entertainment-related content to West World. Release
