Draper Fisher Jurvetson, an early stage VC fund is setting up an office in Bangalore, reports VC Circle. One of its directors, Mohanjit Jolly will be moving to India. Jolly had recently joined DJF from Guy Kawasaki’s Garage Technology Ventures. Also joining DFJ is Sateesh Andra as Venture Partner. Andra has spent around 15 years in Silicon Valley, and has been working with startups in Hyderabad as an early stage VC. Andra had founded Metrikus, which was acquired by Persistent Systems and co-founded Euclid which was acquired by e4e.
DJF doesn’t have a dedicated India fund, though around $75 million of its $600 million Fund IX allocated for India. DJF has so far invested in DVD rental company SeventyMM, ad network Komli and mobile payment solutions company MChek.
