Norway’s biggest media group Schibsted has bought Sweden-based online marketing and traffic firm WebTraffic, for an undisclosed amount. The marketing company works with webmasters by providing them with guaranteed traffic to their websites. Some more details in this Swedish language story.
Schibsted also announced its Q2 earnings results, and its online revenues increased by 43 percent (before acquisitions of subsidiaries)..these activities accounted for 40 percent of the Group’s operating profit . The company also said it will continue to close unprofitable print titles, which will increase the share of the operating profit produced by online activities, reports Reuters. Earnings release.
