Industry Moves Roundup: Time Inc.; Yahoo; Reuters; Turner; MSG Media; Worldwide Biggies

Time Inc./SPC Digital: Time Inc.’s home and lifestyle subsidiary Southern Progress Corporation (Cooking Light, Southern Living, Health, and others) has announced several new hires for its new digital division, SPC Digital. Jim Sexton was named SVP/Editorial Director; most recently, Sexton was SVP, Interactive Brands for Scripps Networks. Steve Zales was named SVP/GM; he joins SPC Digital from Inform Technologies where he was the CEO.

Yahoo: Jim Schinella, the former Yahoo exec who was the Global VP of Business Development for the mobile and broadband businesses from 2003 to 2005 (and on a personal sabbatical since), is returning in a new capacity — SVP, Corporate Partnerships. He will lead a team focused on identifying strategic partnership opportunities (like eBay, Comcast and others). Schinella will be based in Santa Clara and will report to Hilary Schneider.

Reuters: A slew of announcements including Stephen Smyth, promoted to SVP-Reuters Media, responsible for delivering revenue from consumer division. He keeps his title as GM of media for the Americas. Also, Stett Trippe promoted to VP-national advertising sales for Reuters Media. He’ll lead the U.S. sales for Reuters.com, Reuters Mobile, The Reuters Sign and Reuters Media
