Nokia news: N95 with US HSDPA and N75 price drop

Nokia_n75Just before sitting down to dinner I noticed some confirmation on what we heard earlier this morning: Nokia will indeed be offering an N95 handset that works on the U.S. 3G band. Not only that, Symbian-Guru reports a slight redesign that allows for a larger capacity battery to fit into the device; great news since 3G radios are tough on batteries. They’ve got additional details and the sales flyer for your perusal.

Nokia is also getting news on the lower end, but quite capable smartphone front. Brighthand noticed that AT&T dropped the price of the N75 (shown) from $400 to $350. Not only that, a two-year plan commitment drops the price by an additional $150 while online and mail rebate discounts tack on another $100 in savings. Who would have thought that you could nab a Nokia N75 for as little as $100!
