Our FOBM Conference on Oct 30th: Early Bird Registration Opening Next Week

We are well on our way on planning the “Future of Business Media“, which will be held on October 30th at Waldorf in NYC. We will be opening early bird ticket sales next week, and they’re bound to start going fast, judging from how our first conference EconSM’s tickets sold out a month, before earlier this year, as well as the topic of the FOBM conference. So keep an eye out. Also, the early-bird discount is a major one.

With the turn of events in the business media sector, things are a lot more interesting. With Dow Jones in process of being bought by News Corp. and then the raging debate about WSJ.com’s subscription or ad-supported future, we hope to have a lively Q&A with Gordon Crovitz, the publisher of WSJ. Then with Reuters in the process of merging with Thomson, we’ll have Reuters Media president Chris Ahearn talking about the integration and the biggest business media company’s future. Also, the utterly fascinating battle and struggles of the business books, and the imminent launch of Fox’s business channel. Then, the online disruptors, deals in the sector, and future of tech business media.

The conference program draft is up, and we have three fireside chats and six panels planned throughout the day, with ample time for networking as well (on the pre-evening mixer as well as throughout the conference day).
