From the 10-Q filed by The New York Times Company (NYSE: NYT) today:
— 95 percent of About.com’s revenues in the first half of 2007 are derived from the advertising — display and cost-per-click. The latter accounts for 48 percent of the group’s total advertising revenues.
— About.com’s acquisition of ConsumerSearch in May for about $33 million included the assumption of $5 million in net liabilities.
— Online advertising revenues for the NYT Media Group increased 21.9 percent for the quarter, 20.1 percent for 1H07. As reported last month, overall company online revenues grew 23.4 percent.
— The increase in other revenues for Q2 and 1H07 is primarily from the Baseline Studio Systems acquisition and wholesale delivery operations as noted in the earnings report last month. One change — the explanation here also includes increased subscriptions to premium sub service TimesSelect.
— A change in the bylaws (announced via 10-Q instead of separately by 8-K) about procedures for filing director nominations and proposals for annual meetings.
