Earnings: WMG: Mobile Contributed 40 Percent Of Digital Revenue

Digital revenue accounted for $119 million, or 15 percent, of Warner Music Group’s (NYSE: WMG) total revenue in the spring quarter with mobile responsible for 40 percent of digital’s showing. Digital revenue was up 29 percent over $92 million in the same quarter in 2006 and up 7 percent from the previous quarter. U.S. revenue of $82 million, accounted for 68 percent of total digital revenues, while international revenue was $38 million, or 32 percent of the total.

Worldwide digital revenue was about 60 percent online and 40 percent mobile. Online is larger than mobile in the U.S. while the reverse holds internationally. CFO Michael Fleisher:
