Citing costs related to its $6 billion pending acquisition by Microsoft, aQuantive (Nasdaq: AQNT) posted lower Q2 net income of $9.6 million, or $0.11 per diluted share, a decline of 22 percent from last year’s $12.3 million. The expenses associated with the Microsoft deal were $10.9 million. Revenues for the digital marketing firm gained 48 percent to $156 million in Q2, rising from last year’s $105.6 million. Other highlights from Q2 included:
— Digital Marketing Services: Revenue was up 47 percent $94.2 million over Q206’s $64.1 million. Operating income was $13 million compared to $11.3 million, a year-over-year increase of 15 percent.
— Digital Marketing Technologies: This segment’s revenues were $40.2 million, versus last year’s $29.7 million, a 35.4 gain. Operating income was $15.6 million, a rise of 28.9 percent compared to $12.1 million in Q206.
— Digital Performance Media: Revenues rose 81.5 percent to $21.6 million during the quarter. In Q206, revenues were $11.9 million. Operating income was $3.1 million, up 29.2 from $2.4 million last year.
— For H107, net income $23.9 million, an increase of 20 percent over the same period last year. Revenues for the first half of the year were $298.6 million, an increase of 51 percent from the prior year’s period. Earnings release | Webcast
