I might buy one of these Commodore 200 digital audio players just for the nostalgia; the C64 is collecting dust in the basement but every few weeks it catches my eye. *sniff* Yes, Commodore is back and not just in the PC industry (they offer gaming PCs now) but for the digital audio market as well. The 200 is a small flash-based player with 1- or 2-GB of storage, 1.8-inch OLED screen and WiFi. I’m not sure what the WiFi is for because I can’t find the product specs on the Commodore site, but it appears to connect to other Commodore home audio/video products from what I can gather. At a cost of 90 pounds for the larger capacity, you can pre-order now in certain countries; Europe looks to be the likely suspect here. Oddly enough you’ll get 18 hours of music on the battery but only 2 of video. With the OLED screen, I would have expected more but perhaps this is just bad info….doesn’t matter: it has the Commodore logo on it, so I want one! Any other Commodore / PET / Amiga fans out there?
