Turns out ad-supported music service SpiralFrog, one of 2006’s candidate’s for most-hyped new product, is in limited beta. CNET News.com has the details on the startup, which looked like a no-go earlier this year — especially after CEO Robin Kent left or was ousted following a spat with founder Joe Mohen and the board and a planned December launch that didn’t happen. SpiralFrog signed licensing deals with Universal, EMI and some indies last year.
