Industry Moves Roundup: Buzznet; Maven; DailyMotion; Ofcom

Buzznet: The music social net, which raised $6 million earlier this year, has two senior hires.
John Glascott is the new EVP-sales; prior, he was SVP-business development and sales for RealAge. He also has been at Hearst, iVillage and Yahoo.
— Online vet Elizabeth Osder, who recently left Yahoo, joins as SVP-audience, responsible for “developing engaging social media and programming experiences.” She’s also involved in the Buzznet redesign scheduled for August.

DailyMotion: The French video sharing network has appointed auction site QXL Ricardo CEO Mark Zaleski as its executive chairman. Zaleski was previously SVP area operations for U.S. online grocery outfit Webvan. He joined QXL in 2000, before being promoted a year later.

Ofcom: Jill Ainscough, former managing director of the Easynet ISP, is the UK media regulator’s new COO. Ainscough had taken a career break after Easynet was acquired by BSkyB in 2005. She will fill the gap left by Ed Richards, who became CEO of Ofcom in October. (Via Guardian).

Maven Networks: Kristen Fergason joins as VP-marketing. Previously, she was VP-marketing at MLBAM; she was there for six years and helped develop and bring to market MLB.TV. Release.
