Panasonic unveils smallest HD camcorder, under a grand

As a six-year, self-admitted but not recovering HDTV addict, I just can’t take my four eyes off of this new Panasonic camcorder that Gizmodo found. For $999 you’ll get the world’s smallest 3CCD sensor high-def camcorder when it hits shelves in September. At only three-quarters of a pound in weight and 2.6 x 2.6 x 5.3-inches in size, you could actually throw this in a gadget bag for high-def memory making during the day. The small size means there’s no hard drive or DVD for storage; instead, you’ll need a SD or SDHC card to save those 1920 x 1080 images at 30 fps.
