3jam, a Menlo Park, CA-based text messaging startup, has received $4 million in its second round of funding, according to a regulatory filing, picked up by PEHub. Norwest Venture Partners was joined by return backers New Enterprise Associates and NetService Ventures. This follows a $1 million round from NEA last year.
The service allows “reply all SMS” for users, a fairly simple idea in concept. When someone sends a message to multiple people via the application, they can see who else received it and reply to everyone.
