YouTube lists the 2989 entries that did not make it onto the air this week on the CNN/YouTube Democratic Debates. The vast majority of these videos are simple (read: boring) talking heads asking question. After sifting through the rejects, here are some of the more creative and entertaining, and in some cases, probably not appropriate questions.
You can see all of the entrants that didn’t make it onto CNN here in a painfully poorly designed page from YouTube. Also, submissions are being accepted for the September 17 Republican Debate (that is, if it goes through), so start uploading.
Telephone Outsourcing! (the musical!)
I can hear the influences of Andrew Lloyd Webber. Just imagine what this would have sounded like with a full orchestration, some backup dancers and a little Bob Fosse choreography.
Perhaps a more appropriate question from our fowl friend would have been “What are you going to do about the use of growth hormones in the food we eat? Buckaw!”
Yeah! And I’ve been wondering since fifth grade when federally mandated nap time would get out of the partisan politics that it’s been mired in for years and move to the forefront. What is the House Subcommittee on Lethargy been doing?
If you thought having a snowman ask our candidates questions was a little low brow, what about a squeaking pink dolphin?
Debate question “What’s the worst thing you ever did?”
Between his lilting chant of guilt-seeking mirth and the gigantic piercing eyes of that bushbaby, I feel like I’m watching A Clockwork Orange.
What will the candidates do about digital privacy?
I thought the debates were a little light in the ninja department.Oh, and I couldn’t resist Jon Stewart, a confessed Luddite, with his spot-on commentary of the poor quality of the screenings of the YouTube questions.
