Jeff Gaspin’s role at NBC Universal (NYSE:GE) is changing yet again … a few months after he was appointed president of NBC Universal Cable and Digital Content, he’s been upped to president and COO of the newly formed Universal Television Group effective immediately. The new job adds oversight of the Telemundo television network and its 16 0-and-0’s to his existing duties, along with the company’s domestic first-run and off-net syndication efforts — areas previously handled by Jay Ireland, who has moved to parent GE as president and CEO of GE Asset Management and Marc Graboff, recently promoted to co-chairman, NBC Entertainment and Universal Media Studios. Creating a new group puts all of the non-NBC television properties in one place. Release.
