– Hacking into iPhone: Hackers could take control of an iPhone if its owner visits a doctored website or Internet hotspot, security researchers are reporting, and of course, getting lot of press. The hijacked iPhones could be used to send spam by SMS, and any personal data on the phones, such as private phone numbers and text messages, would be accessible as well. The researchers at Baltimore-based ISE haven’t released the specifics of the vulnerability to the public, but have provided details to Apple and supplied the company with a patch, a software update for plugging the hole.
— iPhone in Germany: German department store chain Karstadt will sell Apple’s iPhone, the company said, adding that it was too soon to say whether the phones would be sold with or without a contract. The spokeswoman said Karstadt hoped to have the phones in stock in time for the Christmas shopping season.
