Enterprise Social Net ConnectBeam Raises $3.5 Million In First Round

Social bookmarking site ConnectBeam has closed a $3.5 million first round financing, PEHub reports, citing a regulatory filing. Participants in the round included Gabriel Venture Partners and Startup Capital Partners. The company is run by Puneet Gupta, who formerly headed social bookmarking tool developer CourseCafe.

Unlike other consumer services, ConnectBeam focuses on enterprise side, and allows companies to develop internal services such as bookmarking, social networking, profiles and other services. It is being used at companies such as Honeywell, among others.
